How to use LinkedIn to Gain New Business
I have been to many seminars about LinkedIn, where I heard about how to set up my profile, how to set up my company page, but not one has told me how to actually get new business and this got me thinking, hence I have come up with my 3 Top Tips on How to Get More new Business through LinkedIn
Tip 1 – Build Brand awareness
You Build Brand Awareness by asking questions within your groups, i.e. by Starting Discussions that get people talking to one another.
You need to research topics and ideas for discussion, so look on:
- Industry / Association news pages
- Local Newspapers or Websites
- National News – Websites
Tip 2 – Build Credibility
You Build Credibility by getting people to know, like and trust you. You do this by commenting on and contributing to other people’s discussions.
Share your business expertise, business experiences, offer people help and advice or even share personal experiences. It all goes to build your credibility, gives you personality and if done correctly, portrays you as being the industry expert.
Tip 3 – Build your Business by Giving Recommendations and Referrals
Give business first by referring or recommending other people, then after a while people will start to refer and recommend you back. It’s a simple formula and one that works exceptionally well.
You need to dedicate around 15 minutes a day, twice a day, every day. This isn’t the way to a “quick buck” either – it takes time to develop. However, if you stick with it, you WILL see results, I assure you.
