Ready, Set, Go 2014!! What’s Your Marketing Strategy?

Welcome to the New Year! Seems an age since Christmas and all colossal amounts of food that was consumed (casts a critical glance at Steve!). Impressive, that’s all I’m saying.

We are glad though (alright, borderline smug) that we did a lot of preparation in December so that we could hit the ground running with all aspects of our business come the New Year. There’s nothing like already having a jobs list to focus the mind!

Putting the Plan Into Action

The New Year brings with it many new opportunities, and if you have worked on your marketing strategy, it’s now time to work on turning those opportunities into new and repeat business.

Current Customers – Now’s the time to welcome them to the New Year, to remind them what you are doing and any promotions you are running.

New Customers – If you have your contact data list all prepared, start to be in contact with them and introduce the benefits of your products or services.

Choose your weapon – your strategy will include all the methods you deploy in contacting your prospects including email, direct mail-out, SMS, social media and telephone, and in what order.

There Was Supposed To Be A Plan???

If the end of last year found you very busy and skidding into Christmas exhausted and by the seat of your pants, you may well be starting the New Year with nothing but an Alka-Seltzer and a wry smile!

Fear not! New Year, new start, and it’s not too late to plan your 2014 marketing activities in order to vastly improve your bottom line over the coming months.

Top Plans for Success in 2014

If you are looking to increase your business in 2014 then it’s important to plan your strategy in order to find the right people to contact. Having a clean, reliable and targeted data list of prospects saves you a lot of time and money and increases your chances of a good ROI.

The first thing to consider is who is your ideal next customer? Giving this some thought means you can target your communications more easily. Have a look at our How to Choose a Business List blog for tips on how to build an effective client profile. Getting the right message to the right person at the right time means more bang for your buck.

When it comes to email marketing, take a look at our Why Email Marketing Really Works article for a taster of how effective a weapon it can be in your arsenal. The most successful campaigns have the following ingredients:

  • Delivering the right message at the right time to the right person
  • Carefully Researched and crafted email campaigns for optimum buy-in
  • Using clean, up-to-date contact data
  • Using data that is fully opted in for third party marketing to ensure compliance

Don’t risk your hard-earned marketing spend on shoddy data – the better quality the data, the better quality the ROI.
