The presentation elicited many enquiries and queries and we were reminded that when it comes to Data Lists there is a definite ‘top 3’ of frequently asked questions.
So, now that the dust has settled on our colossal office move (my sudden need to clean may have abated a little!), I thought it time to review the basics of purchasing marketing data lists.

What are TPS and CTPS?
It is extremely important to take heed of this. Any company that contacts a party that is on the TPS and CTPS register and hasn’t received specific permission from that party to do so, may be liable for a fine of £6,500. A hefty mistake to make! Serious and / or repeated abuse can bring even higher fines, amongst other sanctions. The ICO offer advice in this respect.
